Top OEMs Pick Honeywell Connected Aircraft Solution

It’s unanimous. The world’s top business jet manufacturers have chosen Honeywell’s JetWave satellite communications system and the Jet ConneX network from Inmarsat to provide reliable, high-speed inflight connectivity for passengers, flight crews, maintainers and operators.

Both Dassault and Embraer made announcements at this year’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), held in May 22-24 in Geneva. Daussault will line-fit JetWave hardware as an option on new Dassault Falcon business jets and Embraer will line-fit its Lineage 1000 Executive Jets with the JetWave option beginning in 2018.

JetWave is already the preferred line-fit option on Gulfstream and Bombardier and available for the Cessna Citation Hemisphere.

Honeywell is the exclusive provider of the satellite communications system hardware that enables aircraft to connect with the Jet ConneX Ka-band network. The network gives business jet passengers reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi service, comparable to what they experience on the ground, anywhere they fly.

“Business jet operators expect to have the same experience with inflight Wi-Fi as they do at home or in the office and that is why four major business jet manufacturers have selected JetWave and Jet ConneX for their customers,” said Warren Nechtman, vice president, Connectivity Equipment for Honeywell. “Together, Honeywell and Inmarsat are improving productivity, entertainment and comfort for business aviation with truly global, high-speed connectivity.”

With the Jet ConneX network, fliers can enjoy videostreaming and phone calls, music and movie downloads, access to private company networks, online shopping, and much more through one global network with significantly fewer signal drops than other connectivity services, even over oceans.

Based on a wider wireless frequency pipe than other global satellite networks, Honeywell’s system enables global Ka-band connection. In addition to the many benefits to passengers, the Wi-Fi offering means that owners and operators can enhance operational efficiency and flight safety with connected aircraft services beyond the cabin.
