A Jetstar spokesman told Daily Mail Australia that the airline experienced a temporary system outage for 50 minutes on Thursday evening.

'There were no cancellations, but a handful of flights were delayed – the maximum delay being 60 minutes,' a spokesman said.

'While the systems have since come back online and flights have resumed, we are working with our vendors to ascertain the cause of the disruption.

'We apologise to our customers and thank them for their patience.'

A Qantas spokesman confirmed that they had not experienced any issues.
